Expanding the new brand identity we developed for The University of Nottingham, we have recently upgraded the functionality of the CMS website to include Google map integration. We are also working on an integrated campaign promoting weddings at the university, including brochure design, web design and a regional advertising campaign.
We have been involved with Nottingham Conferences from the beginning. Following the results of market research taken on behalf of the conferencing division, a list of names was generated, each of which was researched for competitors and web availability. Nottingham Conferences was chosen and the resulting design captured the historic context of the university whilst retaining certain design cues from the East Midlands Conference Centre logo. It was also felt to move the brand representing the conference portfolio forward, in line with customers’ expectations and the increased competition in the market for conference venues.
We were also responsible for combining their two existing websites (www.emcc.co.uk and www.uncc.co.uk), which we had previously developed. The resulting site - www.nottinghamconferences.co.uk - is powered by our content management system (CMS) and includes information and virtual tours for each venue, an interactive tool to allow users to search based on their event type and a news module to allow the conference team to easily keep the site up-to-date.
Our CMS system also provided an interactive customer satisfaction survey, which the conference team are able to use to gather vital feedback from event organisers. The resulting data is available to be reviewed on-screen or downloaded for analysis in Excel and has been formatted to match the client’s exact requirements.
Nottingham Conferences launched their new identity at The Academic Venue Show at London’s Business Design Centre in May 2008.
