Website redesign, recruitment microsite and national newspaper campaign.

Nottinghamshire County Council wanted to redesign their main community website – www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk.

As a responsible public sector organisation, the council needed a site that would be accessible to all parts of the community. As such, our web design needed to work in all web browsers and be compatible with screen readers, allowing blind and partially-sighted users to access the site’s content; all while retaining an engaging design flair and appealing look and feel.

The web design was integrated into the Council’s existing content management system, allowing them to easily add, remove and edit all aspects of the site from a system they were already familiar with.

The project required a lot of collaboration between our web designers and programmers and their in-house web developers and we’re really pleased with the resulting site, which went live on 23rd December.

Previous projects for the Council have included a recruitment microsite and national newspaper campaign to recruit three strategic directors.

“Absolute produced a bold, contemporary design for our new website, which we have received a very positive response to from both our internal and external users.”
