As a progressive web design, branding and graphic design business, we have an on-going commitment to improve and refine our services. One of the key areas we identified for improvement was colour proofing and on-press colour sign-off; historically a time intensive, potentially costly process.
Having developed an expertise in colour correction, working closely with companies such as Romo fabrics and Villa Nova, we were confident that our in-studio processes were very effective. However, the issue of the amount of valuable time spent ‘on-press', by both us and our clients was one which we were determined to improve upon.
We are proud to announce the launch of the new Natgraph web design to coincide with a major international exhibition at FESPA 2010 in Munich.
Located in Nottingham, Natgraph is Europe's largest manufacturer of conveyor dryers utilising forced air, infra red energy and ultra violet radiation. Absolute was approached to create a new web design and CMS solution that would reflect the positioning of the business and also allow the marketing team to implement web marketing strategies and improve SEO ranking for selected key words and phrases.
As an SME manufacturer based in the East Midlands, the web design and development qualified for a match funding grant from a regional development fund. Absolute was able to secure 50% of the project costs because we are an approved member of the East Midlands Service Provider Register. Funding was used for web consultancy aimed at increasing the efficiency and sales performance of the website. This included an ecommerce module, a news module to ensure regular content updates to the homepage and on-site Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).
Last night's Digital Marketing Masterclass was a big success and we received lots of positive comments from delegates. It was great to have the opportunity to discuss website design and marketing with an audience from such varied and diverse backgrounds.Attendees left with some practical tools and advice on how to improve their online marketing activities.
Our Digital Services Director, James Bird, covered topics including SEO, email marketing, website design and link building supported by real life case studies, including how we achieved a number one page ranking for our key search terms, such as "Web Development Nottingham", "SEO Nottingham", "Graphic Design Nottingham" and "Web Design Nottingham".
A client of ours recently experienced a loss of Search Ranking Position (SRP) for their primary search phrase, which coincided with Google's new algorithm update known as Caffeine. All their other search terms maintained their previous positions, which suggested the site was not blacklisted, but rather penalised for a high keyword density relating to this specific search phrase. We took the following actions:
- Modified their news module to enable us to categorise news stories by search terms and dates;
- Balanced keyword density throughout each page for all search terms;
- Checked for broken links;
- Enhanced web design to reduce the load time of the site;
- Used specialist SEO tools to ensure that page content had not been duplicated.
We were recently awarded the East Midlands Development Agency contract to re-design their England's East Midlands website. The web design and development project, which attracted 80 expressions of interest and was subject to two tender stages was awarded to Absolute because we demonstrated our understanding of foreign direct investments and its impact on the region.
