Absolute have recently won a new branding and website design account with Ellis Jones Recruitment, an independent agency specialising in the search and selection of financial, accounting and estate agency roles in the East Midlands.

Using our extensive knowledge and web development experience within the recruitment industry, we're able to provide Ellis Jones with a website solution that not only looks professional, but also has added functionality to support many of the processes within the business, including allowing candidates to view and apply for jobs online. The website includes a content managed recruitment system, which enables them to add new vacancies and update general page content throughout the site - a perfect way to encourage successful organic listings on Google!

As one of the most competitive sectors within the recruitment industry, our brief was simple - to create a professional website supported by a striking brand that promotes Ellis Jones effectively within their market place, giving both clients and candidates the reassurance that their recruitment needs are with the right people.

Having attended our recent seminar on ‘The Art of Selling', the Directors at Peopleshare wanted to find out how Absolute web design Nottingham could help with their online marketing campaign.

Our brief was to develop a functional website design that delivered the brand personality while making it easier for the marketing team to implement web marketing strategies and improve SEO ranking for selected keywords and phrases.

Based in Nottingham, Peopleshare provide a management consultancy service normally found within larger businesses and, having recently taken part in emda's High Growth Programme, they wanted to ensure the positioning of the business reflected the reality of its business offering.

The CMS website design we have developed clearly reflects the business's core services and, with our newsletter module, the marketing team can harvest news stories from their website to instantly populate an email newsletter for broadcast to their database. Moreover, keeping the news section updated means Google will revisit their website more often so that any new content can be rapidly indexed.

It's always great to get an enthusiastic response...

"I just want to say we are absolutely bowled over with the design you have come up with for us... It's been a breath of fresh air to work with a company who totally nailed exactly what we wanted - the very first time, and came up with so many ideas of how to make our site work better for us. You have also responded incredibly quickly to the brief (and) unlike other web designers you recognised that the website needs to be about US and not about what the designer wants it to be, and that the commercial purpose and relevance to our business model was the priority."

For the fourth consecutive year Absolute has been chosen to produce the prestigious Castle College University Level Courses Guide. The 76 page document enables potential students to find out what's on offer at the College and explain the additional support services available to them.

Following on from the Further Education Prospectus produced earlier in 2009, our success came from really challenging the brief and pushing the brand even further. We were delighted to win the three way pitch with what we feel are some of our most creative designs for this exciting sector.

After a three-way pitch, we were delighted to be selected to design and develop the new website for the East Midlands Improvement and Efficiency Partnership. Based in Nottingham, but supporting councils from Nottingham, Leicester, Derby and the rest of the East Midlands. The EMIEP works to bring lasting improvements to the region by forging relationships between the 46 local authorities in the region and assisting them through organising events and sharing knowledge, learnings and other information.

This new project gives us the opportunity to build on our recent public sector experience, having recently worked with Nottinghamshire County Council and the East Midlands Development Agency (emda).

We're looking forward to working closely with the EMIEP team to produce a web design that provides their users with an easy to use means of accessing the comprehensive range of information available. The site will be powered by our content management system (CMS) , making it quick and easy to update and maintain the site's content.

Google is Changing

Posted in SEO Category

Our resident SEO expert attended the Online Marketing Conference at the East Midlands Conference Centre earlier this month. It was a great opportunity to find out about imminent changes to Google's search algorithms and how social media marketing will play a huge part in how search results will be displayed from January 2010.

Visit http://209.85.225.103/ for a sneak peak at the new Google. You may not notice any difference, but there will be several changes made behind the scenes. It will be faster and be have capabilities to search much deeper into websites. Deeper indexing will give way to a new Google result known as 'real time search'. This will return results from Facebook, Twitter and all other social media platforms.

To find out how we can improve your SEO and achieve that all important page one ranking, get in touch.

Our Digital Services Manager, James Bird, was in London yesterday for the annual Online Marketing Masterclasses event, organised by Econsultancy. This industry event was attended by marketing professionals from the likes of Tesco, Marks & Spencer, The Guardian, Virgin Atlantic and John Lewis.

The day was split into three sections: Acquire, Convert and Retain & Grow, with speakers from The Telegraph, BSkyB, Dell, The Carphone Warehouse and others sharing their experiences of search engine optimisation (SEO), social networking and ecommerce.

As well as being a great opportunity to share experiences and ideas with likeminded professionals and do a spot of networking, it was reassuring to hear industry experts at such a high level advocating practices and approaches that we employ on web marketing projects for our clients.

We are planning on distilling much of what was covered to present in a future seminar. In the meantime, if you would like to discuss your online marketing and how we can help, get in touch.

For the fourth consecutive year Absolute has been chosen to produce the prestigious Castle College University Level Courses Guide.

We were delighted to win the three way pitch with what we feel are some of our most creative designs for this exciting sector.

Following on from the success of the Further Education Prospectus earlier in the year, our success came from really challenging the brief and pushing the brand even further.

In addition to satisfying the graphic design and print production requirements of the marketing team, all of the designs submitted for the pitch were presented to a panel of current HE students at the college. The result; our designs were all in the top three selected!

The 76 page document will enable potential students to find out what's on offer at the College and explain the additional support services available to them.

We can't show you the chosen design as this won't be published until the New Year, but here are some of the runners up.

Kensington OH was formed by three leading occupational health consultants who wanted to offer expert advice to businesses without a full time Chief Medical Officer and needed help with forming strategies and solutions for problems involving health and work.

Absolute was asked to undertake a full marketing communications strategy for the new business, ranging from brand development and stationery, through to a sales brochure and a CMS driven website.

Although the website only contained five pages and a contact form, as with all of our websites, we used our own CMS to build the site. This has the advantage of being very Search Engine Optimisation compatible, allowing our clients to individually specify title pages, URL re-writing, H1 H2 H3 headers, alt tags and meta data in addition to on-page content.
