Mi-sport are manufacturers of waterproof & wireless MP3 headphones and race computers. The innovative system allow the user to run, cycle and even swim while listening to their favourite music. Some models even allow you to race against a virtual athlete.

Mi-sport commissioned Absolute Graphic Design Nottingham to produce the product packaging design for their new FX Sport range, to be launched at the Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas on January 6th 2011.

As part of the design process we developed the graphic design for the outer packaging and also the construction design for the inner cradle that secures the product for retail display. We initially produced 20 protoypes of the outer and inner packaging on the actual material in order to test the effectiveness of the design prior to full manufacture.

For a third successive year, Absolute was the first choice to produce Castle College's Full Time Prospectus. The current graphic design campaign, which can be seen throughout the city on buses and trams, not to mention the eight metre banner on the college itself, was rolled out to the 84 page prospectus, which details the wide range of full-time courses available at the College. Delivered on time and within budget, the marketing team were once again delighted. "They look great and are really eye-catching... thanks for all your hard work."

As a progressive web design, branding and graphic design business, we have an on-going commitment to improve and refine our services. One of the key areas we identified for improvement was colour proofing and on-press colour sign-off; historically a time intensive, potentially costly process.

Having developed an expertise in colour correction, working closely with companies such as Romo fabrics and Villa Nova, we were confident that our in-studio processes were very effective. However, the issue of the amount of valuable time spent ‘on-press', by both us and our clients was one which we were determined to improve upon.

As the incumbent branding and web design agency for Nottingham Conferences, the University of Nottingham's Conferencing and Events arm, we were recently asked to help with their 25th Anniversary Logo Competition.

Competition entry was extended to three local primary schools and was won by 'Keith's Team' from Whitegate Primary School in Clifton. The five children from the winning team were invited to Absolute, to see their idea being given a professional 'make-over' in order to be used on the Nottingham Conferences website and other forthcoming promotional materials.

We thought the design was great and the ideas within it showed great potential. We were especially impressed by their use of the brand colours and the fact that the kids had made a visual link between the typography and the shape of the EMCC building. Although we have tidied the logo up so that it can be used within the web design, the main elements remain. Keith's team understood what we had done, showed great interest in the professional process and were pleased with the end result.

For a third consecutive year, we have been trusted with the design and print production of this high profile project which complements a growing body of work that includes the HE and FE prospectus, newsletters, display graphics and course leaflets.

Having previously approached the market through its customer facing brands, SPX asked Absolute to take its corporate values and translate them into a corporate brochure that would both substantiate the credibility of the business and clearly demonstrate its capabilities.

As market leaders in SSH Communication, their products are used by many of the major blue chip companies to transfer files and / or remotely control other machines over the internet. The success of their product relies heavily on their maturity, reliability and stability.

For this reason it was important that they had a brand that represented the experience, depth and integrity of the business and appointed us to develop this new brand to ensure they were viewed as the leading authority in secure communications.

Colour correction is at the heart of every Villa Nova project and the January launch was no different. Including Japanese influenced embroidery, floral motifs, wide-width sheers, taffeta and soft weave textures the collection had all the usual stunning fabrics and we were trusted to show them in their true light.

A growing brand in the US market, we also designed and produced brochures and pattern book print for the export market.
