Apprentice Zone is launching a series of ecommerce websites aimed at apprentices in different industries, including automotive, construction and hair & beauty. The ability to broker deals with leading manufacturers, combined with a wealth of experience in training implementation and careers guidance, gives Apprentice Zone an ideal platform to develop the business, and they chose Absolute to develop their branding, web design and e-commerce functionality for their Nottingham based business. The Apprentice Zone website offers all of the tools and accessories an apprentice would need just starting off in their chosen career, as well as information and advice for students, parents and employers.

The website uses the popular open source Magento ecommerce platform, which our developers and web designers fully customised to reflect how Apprentice Zone wanted to present their products and special offers. Absolute's Digital Services Manager, James Bird and Account Manager, Laura Kirby, recently attended a summer party at Hart's Hotel in Nottingham to mark the 85th anniversary of the Nottingham City Business Club.

The club was founded in 1915 with initial membership at a grand total of 35, each paying 12 shillings (60p). It wasn't until 1989 that women were finally allowed to join! Speakers over the years have included Lord Baden Powell, Neville Chamberlain and Eleanor Roosevelt.

As one of the longest standing business clubs outside of the country's capital, Laura and James are regular supporters of the business club, attending events throughout the year. Guest were treated to great food and music by a local jazz band followed by a magician and the opportunity for caricatures - as you can see, he captured Laura and James perfectly!

We are often asked about Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and website design for Nottingham and Derby businesses, so should you recognize us from our caricatures whilst we're out and about at networking events, come over and say hello...

We recently launched a new CMS website for security specialist Octavian Group, which offers services including manned guarding, remote monitoring and event security across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and North America.

As well as an engaging and dynamic web design, their new site includes a bespoke recruitment module that allows them to fully tailor the online application process to mirror their stringent internal processes. A candidate's application can be saved at any point in the process, allowing them to come back later to complete if necessary.

As part of the project, Octavian also commissioned us to produce its corporate literature. Designed to maintain the same styling and messaging in support of the website, the literature consists of a five colour folder and nine sector inserts. Using a combination of commissioned photography and stock images, we were able to fully represent Octavian's rapidly expanding service portfolio and provide their sales team with a flexible format to support their tendering process.

The creative concept ‘focused on your security' allowed the website and printed literature to share a common design and provide a consistent message across all of Octavian's promotional activities.
