New Web Design for SEGH

SEGH was established in 1971 to provide a forum for scientists from various disciplines to work together in understanding the interaction between the geochemical environment and the health of plants, animals, and humans. Absolute design were approached to undertake web design derby and development a new site for the Society. The resulting website better presents their member service and keeps users  informed with authoritative content and events. The site is also now able to accept online payments for membership fees and features a system to allow members to post article submissions via the site.

Google are jumping on the social bandwagon. In a reaction to the social bookmarking culture Google, will be providing extra functionality within the search engine results to give users the ability to recommend pages that interest them and help friends, contacts and others to find the best content available on the internet. Originally you only be able to utilise this if you have a public Google profile, but it is believed that after sometime this may happen as a matter of course, whether you have a profile or not.

Absolute Web Design Derby were commissioned to develop a new brand and web design derby giving the business a new contemporary, professional look and feel, more representative of the nature of their target business.

Google Farmer / Panda Update

Another day, another Google update! Google have seen fit to update their algorithm in an attempt to stamp out content farms. This update has seen a massive 12% of all websites effected seeing a higher impact on the results than most algorithm changes. Officially Google hasn’t said that they are in fact targeting content farms but it is felt that this may be a reaction at the growing pressure they have faced in the past month to act against them.

Mapperley Park New Web Design

Mapperley Park laser clinic based in Nottingham, a client of ours for a number of years, recently asked us to address their homepage web design in order to introduce new products and maximise real estate. The clinic has recently acquired a new cosmetic element and was keen to include this within the new web design.

As part of the process Absolute reviewed every element of the website and how it was affected by the change of stylesheets. This included increasing the sizes of header images, addressing margin issues and resizing of the website to use more of the available space gained by larger screen sizes.

New Web Design for London General Practice

Based in the Harley Street area of London, the London General Practice provides patients with a range of private healthcare services. We were asked to address their web design, giving it a new contemporary, professional look and feel, more representative of the nature of their business.

As well as the web design, we developed the site using our content management system (CMS), which allows the client to update and maintain all areas of the website quickly and easily. In addition to maintaining the website's pages, the CMS includes a module specifically designed to maintain the Team section of the site and an RSS feed from a healthcare news feed, providing fresh content on a daily basis.

New Web Design for Dog Transit Box Manufacturer

We are pleased to announce the launch of the new Lintran web design, which has been part-funded by the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS). Lintran are a small family business based in Lincolnshire who design and manufacture their unique range of bespoke and universal dog transit boxes. The new site allows users to browse their extensive range of dog boxes, trailers and other related accessories either by category or by their car make and model. The comprehensive website can be quickly and easily updated by Lintran themselves via the Magento ecommerce framework, which includes a content management system (CMS) for editing page content as well as the products and categories.
