Absolute has been a regional sponsor of the Institute of Directors (IoD) for over four years now. Their membership is a good reflection of the types of business that require and value our consultative and experienced approach and so they are a ‘good fit’ in terms of networking.
As well as believing passionately in the importance of social media networking*, at Absolute we recognise that real-world networking is still an important part of representing and presenting Absolute to potential customers, maintaining relationships with existing clients and meeting valuable ‘introducers’ who can recommend or refer in the future. Following someone on LinkedIn or Twitter is good, but there’s no substitute for meeting face-to-face.
In addition to the main events organised by the IoD, we also support the Young Director’s Forum (YDF), which holds informal networking events throughout the year and which took place in Nottingham’s Lace Market Hotel last Thursday evening. These events are often a great way to make contact with budding entrepreneurs and the business leaders of tomorrow.
