Earlier this week, Google rolled out its fourth Penguin update. Unlike the last three updates where the same algorithm was used with new data, this fourth update uses an updated algorithm. For this reason this update is now being called Penguin 2.0.
It is believed that 2.3% of English-US queries have been affected by the update, leading to notable changes in commonly-used search results. The process has been rolled out to other languages across the world with the scope of the effect varying from language to language. Languages with more webspam will see more of an impact.
As part of our ongoing dedication to delivering quality and customer support we are currently assessing the effects of this update and adapting strategies in line with these changes.
