SEO Masterclass 2014 - Review
Posted by: absolute
Summary of our previous SEO Masterclass and feedback from delegates, plus advance notice of our next free event on 8th May - which we’re accepting registrations for from today.
We know how hard it is to get your website to the top of web searches… and keep it there. That’s why on 27th February we hosted an SEO Masterclass packed with tips and advice about the latest search engine optimisation techniques.
We lifted the lid on the importance of content, natural search and our strategic approach to SEO, referring to some of our recent projects to illustrate how it all comes together. As well as sharing the best techniques and tools for beating a path to the top of the search results.
The areas we discussed included:
- The latest on-site optimisation techniques
- The importance of content generation
- How to leverage your website to obtain links from third parties
- The importance of Social Media in organic search results
- What is ‘reconsideration’ and when should you consider it
- A review of the latest features available in Google AdWords
- A review of the best analytical systems available
- An in depth review of new features available in Google Analytics
“The seminar was excellent, lots of very good tips! Overall it was very useful. I thought it was well pitched for attendees who knew very little, as well as those with a bit more knowledge. Thank you.”
“I think the content was brilliant. I’m not used to dealing with people who know as much as I do, and some of the tools he mentioned have not appeared on my radar before. I think the tools highlighted were all spot on for anyone wanting to look at this from any level - a mastery of those is essential and I can’t think of any you missed out.”
“It gave me lots to think about in terms of how to ensure our site is both well formed and coded, as well as constantly updated in order to keep it relevant top Google searching”.
“The seminar was good, thanks - even if I did come away feeling like I knew very little, when I thought I knew quite a bit! All in all, a very informative evening!”
If you were unable to attend the masterclass, don’t worry! We’ll be holding another event soon - let us know if you’d like to register your interest and we’ll send you an invite once a date is confirmed.
And if you want to talk to us more about SEO strategy for your business, simply get in touch to arrange a meeting.
The next workshop on the calendar is the 8th May and will cover best practice methods of planning a successful website.
The evening event will be led by Christina Fowler, our resident user experience specialist. Her role at Absolute is to work with clients to formulate a website’s structure, analyse customer journeys and plan wireframes of each template required by the site. Getting a website right at the planning stage can stop problems arising later on when they could be harder to fix.
We’ll also be looking at the related topic of usability. Our Head of Development and usability guru, Liam Wiltshire, will be explaining the key concepts of usability and demonstrating how to dramatically improve the performance of your website.
So whether you’re planning a website for a completely new venture or redesigning an existing site, this is your opportunity to learn from the experts and gain valuable insight into these critical (but often overlooked) areas of web development.
