Absolute has been nominated for the Creative Industries Business of the Year award at this year's Nottingham Post Business Awards.
We've been selected from a long list of Nottinghamshire's leading creative businesses to be recognised for all the hard work that we've put in to growing the business over the past few years.
In choosing the eventual winner the judges will be considering, among other things, that we have demonstrated 'a considered dedication to financial achievement, as well as a strong dedication to future business success.' In 2013, our turnover increased by over 20% year on year, which was supported by an increase in resources, growing our head count to 18, a 100% increase on the previous year. This growth has allowed us to recruit specialists in areas such as frontend development, user experience, copywriting and search engine optimisation (SEO).
The awards are designed to promote the countys reputation for business excellence and, as the organisers themselves put it, 'all of the finalists and winners will represent the best Nottingham has to offer.'
The Awards are one of the highest profile events in the business calendar and this year are being held at The East Midlands Conference Centre on Thursday 1st May 2014. The shows hosts will be former managing director of BMI Baby, David Bryon and specialist business presenter, Nadine Dereza.
In the meantime, watch out for a profile of Absolute in the Evening Post over the next few weeks
