Rightmove integration for new Slater and Brandley website
| Posted by absolute
Slater & Brandley are a leading Nottingham-based sales and letting agent.
Two months ago, they approached Absolute to produce a new website that would help them lift their brand and provide them with the functionality to diversify their business into property sales.
We took a consultative approach to the website project, starting with a creative meeting that provided the collateral for design development. The website was then created on a WordPress platform: an open-source, market-leading, highly-flexible content management system that is used by 19% of all websites on the internet.
The system is easy to use, and allows owners to change content quickly. There are even mobile apps that allow you to log into your website and make changes while out and about. Furthermore, the system provides a fantastic basis from which to develop, allowing complex integrations and plugins to be created easily.
Absolute integrated the system with Slater & Brandley’s CRMS (Gemini and Aquarius) using a dynamic XML feed via the Rightmove API. This essentially means that as the CRMS is updated in their office, the properties are modified on the website within a set period of time, providing a seamless, no-fuss solution. This helps the company concentrate on the elements that are profitable without wasting time on updates from the office to the website.
In order to produce an intuitive environment for visitors to the website, we utilised some exciting technologies during development of the site. One was the use of an Ajax lazy-loading system that injects more content on demand as the visitor scrolls to the bottom of a page. This is not only visually appealing but helps to decrease load times for usability and improve search positions.
Other features of the website build include a multi-featured search, a testimonials module, an editable mega-menu, social media integration and newsletter signup.
