Absolute are thrilled to announce we scooped the award for “Best Mobile eCommerce” at the National Ecommerce Awards 2020.
The award recognised our work on the Brompton Bike Hire app, celebrating the significant improvements in user experience, customer journey and security. Brompton Bike hire customers can now reserve and retrieve bikes from over 40 docks across the UK faster than ever. The app’s improved security features now validates a user’s phone number and their ID by photographing their documentation and taking a selfie. Absolute were the first UK agency to integrate with Experian in this way.
At a glitzy, albeit virtual awards ceremony we enjoyed the company of many other highly recognised brands such as O2, Iceland Foods, Lego, AO.com and more.
We’re proud to have built an award winning scalable solution for Brompton Bike Hire to facilitate the free rental of bikes for NHS staff.
As part of their WheelsForHereos campaign, Brompton Bike Hire have crowdfunded over £317,000 to support the NHS by providing up to 1,000 free bikes to NHS staff to safely commute to work during the COVID-19 pandemic. With over 500 NHS staff already registered for the free rental of a Brompton Bike, the campaign has been a great success.
The award follows our success last year, winning ‘Best Leisure, Fitness & Outdoors eCommerce” at the National Ecommerce Awards 2019, showcasing the breadth of talent within our team.
