As the year draws to a close, we’d like to share our reflections on some of the successful projects we’ve achieved as an integrated agency over the last 12 months.
Despite being around for over 23 years, we’re still a growing agency, and on top of bringing on board brand new clients, our HQ has undergone a significant refurbishment, making our working environment a much brighter and nicer place to work!
We’ve achieved a real stronghold on Magento ecommerce development this year - not only bringing on board a new Director of Development, Dave Chamberlain, with over seven years’ experience - but also completing the first of many Magento 2 projects. We produced a design-led Magento store for a UK beauty brand, NEWA and a product-focussed store for leading Apple Premium Reseller, KRCS. Our Magento developers are Magento certified, which means we have the knowledge and experience to take on large and complex ecommerce developments.
Further enhancing our Magento ecommerce offering, we’ve recently structured a more comprehensive support service, to provide a robust, timely, cost effective and fully reported solution for our clients who recognise the importance of maintaining their site for optimum performance.
Bespoke build - Laravel platform
We’ve continued a strong relationship with our client Brompton Bikes, offering a comprehensive analysis and reporting system to support the bespoke Laravel website which we built back in 2015. This year also saw the creation of a new App for Brompton, which enables their customers to easily and efficiently reserve a bike from one of their many docks around the UK.
Bespoke Laravel hasn’t been limited to Brompton Bikes. In an extension of The Independent Garage Association’s ExpressionEngine site, which we built in 2015, we've created a custom Laravel site using October CMS, for their sister company, Trust My Garage.
We continue to provide bespoke development solutions for enterprise level clients using ExpressionEngine. We recently produced a website for the NHS Nottingham Digestive Diseases Biomedical Research Unit (NDDBRU), using the secure CMS platform. After securing a 23.6m research grant, the NDDBRU have come back to us for phase two of their website project, which involves extra functionality to allow the NDDBRU team to export their publications for the site and also gives greater user experience to academics who submit research publications. ExpressionEngine is a licensed product and offers maximum security for companies who need to protect their data.
Last year we made a conscious decision to move away from Wordpress to concentrate on a more secure and solid CMS platform, Concrete5. Concrete5 is built on Laravel, which is our chosen platform for custom builds, so we’re fully versed in it. It’s perfect for SMEs and we’ve built many sites over the past year, creating cost-effective developments for many satisfied clients across varying industries. See the complex Concrete5 site we built for industrial client Shredall, here.
Design for print
Hillarys remain a really great client to work with, and earlier in the year we were asked to help them develop solutions for their spring and subsequently their summer direct mail pieces, each multi-demographic mailings, sent to over 300,000 UK homes.
Late summer also saw the season launch for Arena, another Hillarys soft furnishings brand. We worked closely with the Arena team to deliver a brand refresh with usage guide, a new website design, an interactive sales presentation and multiple print solutions, centred around the development of their pattern book sales presenters, including a 28page brochure.
That just about covers it! If you need a Nottingham-based integrated agency to handle your business marketing requirements from website development to advertising and design, get in touch today.
