The recognition follows the successful launch of Emmark's new Magento 2 and Hyvä-powered eCommerce platform, a project designed to transform the digital experience for one of the UK's leading distributors of agricultural and industrial machinery parts.


Modernising a critical B2B sales channel


As a family-run business supplying more than 12,000 replacement parts to customers across 70 countries, Emmark's website serves as far more than an online catalogue. For many trade customers, it is the primary ordering channel used to identify and purchase parts quickly to minimise machinery downtime.


The challenge was significant. Emmark's previous platform had become increasingly difficult to maintain, with limitations around performance, scalability and user experience. The objective was not simply to replace legacy technology, but to create a faster, more intelligent platform that better reflected how customers search for and purchase complex machinery parts.


Building a website around real customer workflows


The new platform was built on Magento 2 with a fully bespoke Hyvä frontend, delivering a faster, more streamlined experience while reducing technical complexity behind the scenes.


A key focus was understanding how customers actually work. Rather than relying on a single navigation method, the site supports multiple product discovery journeys, including:


  • Traditional search using product descriptions, OEM numbers and part references
  • Tractor and engine searches filtered by make, series and model
  • A dedicated Quick Search tool that instantly displays all compatible parts for a selected machine
  • A "My Garage" feature that allows customers to save equipment and quickly reorder parts

Product pages also include detailed compatibility information, helping customers purchase with confidence and reducing the risk of costly ordering errors.


Performance that delivers commercial results


Since launch, the new website has delivered Emmark's strongest online sales performance to date.


Key results include:


  • 16% increase in online revenue
  • 9% increase in average order value
  • 21% improvement in mobile search accessibility
  • 27% improvement in mobile search performance
  • 57% improvement in homepage mobile performance
  • 77% improvement in product page mobile performance
  • 28% improvement in homepage mobile best-practice scores

These gains demonstrate the impact that performance-focused development and user-centred design can have on both customer experience and commercial outcomes.


Transforming search and SEO for a complex catalogue


One of the most innovative aspects of the project was the development of a bespoke Part Finder system.


By combining Magento, Hyvä and fitment data from Emmark's existing ERP platform, the solution enables customers to search by make, model, year and engine type, simplifying navigation across a highly complex catalogue.


The functionality also automatically generates SEO-friendly landing pages for thousands of fitment combinations, helping Emmark target highly specific search terms and improve organic visibility across its product range.


Alongside this, advanced search functionality supports OEM references, SKUs and customer-created codes, allowing users to locate the exact components they need with speed and precision.


A platform built for growth


Behind the scenes, bespoke integrations automate the nightly synchronisation of product, pricing, stock and category data from Emmark's ERP system. This ensures customers always have access to accurate information while reducing manual administration and improving operational efficiency.


The result is a platform that not only supports current demand but is also built to scale as Emmark continues to expand its product range, customer base and international reach.
