Magento 2 website with bespoke design and ERP integration
An ecommerce website designed and built with the user in mind.
Claybrook came to Absolute with the requirement to launch their brand online within the UK. They asked us to plan, design and build a new transactional website to showcase and sell their wall and floor tiles business. With a combined experience of over 100 years in retail, design and conceptual art, the Claybrook team required an ecommerce website that portrayed their expertise and allowed customers to easily find the products they needed.
Claybrook also needed functionality for customers to buy in volume, square metre and for the provision of purchasing samples.
Absolute went through a process of bespoke planning and design with Claybrook. After determining Magento 2 to be the best option for Claybrook, we built bespoke functionality allowing customers to order tiles on a per square metre basis. This functionality is not native to Magento. A tile calculator module was also built that calculates tile quantity depending on square footage required (with a 10% wastage allowance).
Through carefully considered UX planning, we implemented a unique way for Claybrook customers to find the perfect product for them. With tiles initially grouped by range, then by more specific filters, this helps inspire the customer with products they may not have originally considered - Leading to higher conversion. Each range of tiles has their own landing page with header image, text (for SEO purposes) and product grid.
Absolute also offered a solution where bricks and mortar staff can generate quotes in-store with customers via the backend (using Cart2Quote). This consultation process allows the ‘agreed’ specification to be entered into Magento as a set of products and managed via the sites admin and payment processes, being paid offline or via online checkout.
All solutions integrate with Claybrook’s ERP to manage stock allocated both in store and for the web. We honed in on the expertise of our Magento 2 Solution Specialist who ensured the requirements of Claybrook’s new website met their needs and supported their business objectives.
Claybrook are benefiting from a beautifully designed website that works in tandem with their bricks and mortar store. They can rest assured their Magento 2 website is supporting many of the business processes associated with ordering, whilst delivering a refreshing customer experience designed to inspire.
