A Magento 2 website fulfilling orders for the automotive industry.
Straightset is the UK’s leading independent garage equipment experts for car and commercial workshops. Selling 2 types of product – garage equipment and spare parts, Straightset’s previous website allowed for the purchase of spare parts, but was not configured to allow purchases from their garage equipment division. These products had added complexities surrounding installation, delivery and servicing, which Straightset’s previous ecommerce platform was unable to accommodate.
Furthermore, they needed a website that was mobile friendly that integrated with their internal inventory management system, Tesseract.
Straightset approached Absolute after finding us as a RAR recommended agency. We worked in close collaboration to identify the needs of the new website, whilst providing bespoke design support to give it a striking look and feel.
The new website was built on Magento 2, future-proofed on PHP version 7.1. Key features include a ‘spare part finder’ to make it easy for customers to find parts to fit their equipment, and we also utilised Magento Cart2Quote for equipment enquiries. This gave provision for spare parts to be purchasable and equipment to be quotable.
Straightset customers also now benefit from a postcode look-up tool, specifically designed for equipment breakdowns and servicing, giving details of local breakdown centres.

Integrating the Magento site with Tesseract meant Straightset could easily manage their parts inventory whilst keeping usability front of mind when refining products by category. We also developed an automated process in which manufacturer landing pages were automatically populated to improve opportunities in search.
